| Welcome to the site! Your list sounds great, but just curious, is there a reason you're going Warmoth? I love their stuff, use it all the time and did my first build with it, so there's nothing wrong with it, depends on how accurate you're wanting to be? |

| Hey pcr, thanks for the reply. Probably the biggest reason going with warmoth is its easily available, but I havn't ordered anything yet because I am questioning the accuracy myself. Can I ask you what would be some of your recommendations? |

| I understand. Again, not a knock on Warmoth, great quality, but if you're trying to build an accurate Franky the body shape and necks are incorrect (the side adjusting truss rod for example doesn't exist on any VH necks). Try Musikraft, they have accurate necks and bodies, pre-routed, or KNE, pre-routed correct shape bodies. Take a look through a couple of the threads on this site, most if not all of the info you'll need is in them, but those two sources will get you much closer much faster than Warmoth. |

Wow, very nice! And the fact that you guys made it together is very cool!
One thing, though, it's way past time to set the date on your camera! |

Thanks Jimi1647 and Johnny62.
My son made the previous post and uploaded the photo. I was nervous to do that because of all the great builds on here. I know ours is not "spot on" correct, but we built it knowing that he would play it for many years and it would take on a character of its own. But to the not so trained eye it still ressembles a frankenstrat! Here is a photo of his custom engraved neck plate with initials and serial number 001.(who knows there may be a 002!) |
