Well, after waiting forever for the neck and body from Musikraft I thought I should post some pics and let everyone know this build is happening. The neck went back and is being replaced but I did start working. I think I am going to leave this in a " "what if" state for a bit before I paint it red. I think it looks pretty cool black, white and really beat up..

So here's where I am at...

so after finally getting a replacement neck, I am back in business... I also decided to pause for a bit and play the guitar for a few weeks. The new neck feels amazing. Musikraft does a great job. I had to modify the body a little as the trem cavity was too tight for the 1984 reissue Floyd. I also notice the musikraft body isnt routed properly in the humbucker cavity, which i will need to fix before the red goes on.
I also need to do the wire mess around the switch....
Anyway here is what I used:

Musikraft neck and body
parts kit from Johnny
reliced EVH Pickup
1984 Floyd Reissue
Replicator X
West German Schallers (from Jonny)
Wimbledon White Duplicolor
Universal Black Duplicolor
eventually using Super Red II

on to the current pics....

thanks! I'm trying.. This site is amazing. No way I do even attempt this without the work of everyone here.

It's getting uglier and I keep getting mixed opinions. Lots of people want me to leave it black and white..

Also, it still smells like spray paint. Any ideas?? I'm getting ready to poor a beer over it and have someone use it as an ashtray

If you leave it black and white it just means you will have to do another one and add the red Laughing because 1 is not enough!! Can't say about the beer but all my Frankies do have ciggy ashes in the cavities..gotta use something as an ashtray right?

Again it's looking good!!

So here's a little update. I played this guitar Black and White for about 3 weeks and sort of fell in love with it like that. I think sometime in the future I will remake that guitar as what if? it never was painted red.

I finally broke down and taped it up and sprayed it red.. Really glad I did..
its not perfect but I like it.. I had to put it back together and play it. Still lots of work to go but I'm reasonably happy so far. Huge thanks to some people here with some great builds. The info on this site is amazing. No way I could come close without it..
