Everyone in RUSH except Neil................
Dude....Neil has written at least 5 books and recorded 4 How to DVD's that i know of for his fans. Not to mention the Buddy Rich show he did.
The only reason he doesn't do meet and greets is because his personal tragedies have left him very shy.
Very true. In fact after the tragedies mentioned, Neil & the band took off some serious time. Neil used that time to bike tour for few yrs across the U.S. During that, many fans had the opportunity to meet him & tell him what his music & lyrics mean to them. |

When I first heard the tune, I thought it was very blah. Not bad, just not good. Then, the chorus got stuck in my head. I have been playing the tune at least once a day since it came out. My conclusion now, this is a great song! Once I read the lyrics, I remembered why I liked DLR so much. Good to be back!
didn't quite do it for me at first either, uncle magnus, but i have warmed up to it considerably. has done the job, has me wanting 'more' now.
that being said, ed's certainly sounding mighty fine, 'specially on the acoustic 'yrgm'. |

He wrote a great book called Ghost Rider about his time riding on the "healing
road" as he called it. Whether you've had personal tragedy or are just a Neil fan, I would highly recommend reading it.

Preview Van Halen's New Single 'Blood and Fire'
Van Halen's new album A Different Kind of Truth will be released in less
than two weeks. In the meantime, here's an exclusive 90-second preview of
the LP's second single "Blood and Fire." The disc's first single "Tattoo"
was based off the group's 1977 unreleased track "Down In Flames"; another
track on the album, "She's The Woman," which the group played live at their
recent secret show in New York City, was originally recorded as a demo in
1976.
So we offer a challenge to Van Halen's hardcore fans: Does this sound like a
completely new song, or do you hear anything that sounds like an old riff or
melody? To be very clear, there's absolutely nothing wrong with a band using
old material on a new album. Groups do it all the time and you can't
plagiarize from yourself. In fact, many of Van Halen's most famous songs
(including "Right Now") took elements out of older material. We're just
curious to know how much of this Van Halen album was created with that
process.

Ok,...after a few weeks of hearing it here & there on the radio, I came to a conclusion about what I was thinking was a bad recorded bass sound.
I think that Wolfy is doing more than a great job at what he's there for. However, I can get rid rid of that bass sound on this song, it does nothing for me, but the ugly-ness of it disappears when in the spectrum of the whole band. I guess it does work,...but would so a better bass sound.
But it doesn't take away from that fact that after 3 weeks, this song is a keeper & will definitely be a sing-along crowd pleaser LIVE!!!
That's all...... |
