Do you listen to any modern bands? The only modern band I really enjoy is The White Stripes. I really like bands that are very different from others...hints why I like Van Halen so much.

I like Creed alot if that counts, I'm also a big Shooter Jennings/Heirophant fan if that counts, but music today pretty much sucks a big fat nut.

Shinedown, 3 Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Chickenfoot, Coheed and Cambria.......they've all got some recent stuff, and are pretty good if you like rock.

Can the Foo Fighters be considered a "modern band"? Question

Progressive, definitely.

Modern, I wouldn't think so. They've been around for almost 20 years.

I can't understand why so many people are nuts over Arcade Fire...I just don't get them. Sounds like the kind of stuff I played with friends when we were all learning our instruments...

That seems to be the trend of a lot of bands that have made their mark since 1991. Remember, Mr. Cobain taught us that you didn't have to know crap about playing an instrument to make it in the rock and roll music industry.

Ha, ha, I have no idea who that singer is. I thought it was legit but had to read the comments to figure out this was a remix by the poster!!! Laughing

I don't think I will hunt down the actual version of this song...it will just ruin it for me. Very Happy
