looks like the fender shots of the video link I posted! amazing! I think I have to get going on mine soon...

Wow man, thanks!!! That means a lot! Smile

The great thing about graphite is that it sticks to the finish pretty good. It'll definitely last for some time before it rubs off; and if you don't like it, or would like to go 5150 style with it, no harm done! Smile

Thanks!!! Smile I had some trouble finding it on local hardware stores, but they do have it at Home Depot. It's a white tube and comes in a green cardboard. You can find it in the area where key duplicates are made.

Yes sir! The damp towel is just in case you'd like to remove some of it. A dry cloth can help you get it more even once it's been applied, but in a nutshell, yes... just use your fingers and rub it in.

Although not much, I did a little bit more tonight. Smile I messed a little with the pup wires and worked with the 1971 coin. I added some black wash to the cables as well.

Here's a mock up of the build so far

Thank you very, very much! Smile That means a lot! Your build is simply outstanding! By the way, the picture on your thread where you mention you won't be using more Duplicolor spray paints, where you just sprayed black... I gotta say that has got to be the most, if not the best, rattlecan spray application I've ever seen! That black looks pristine!!! Great job!

I didn't post it over there because the last post was already on page 6, and I didn't want to derail the thread :lol

wow! You just keep impressing me on this build. I'm loving the cable mess and pickup cavities. So accurate.

Thank you very much!!! Still need to fix them a lil' bit more here and there, they were pretty stiff, but I'm getting desperate to finish this! I have someone interested in this build, so I guess I'll soon be starting all over again :lol

I appreciate your comments, man. Thanks a lot!!!

Here are a couple of shots. Nothing much but I worked on the weathering and small details a little more. I finally received the pick guard. Was so excited that forgot to take pics and took the guitar straight to my guitar tech! :lol When I get it back, probably by tomorrow (crossing fingers!), I'll get back to the small details and hopefully make it look more like the original... Second thought, who the hell am I kidding? I'll start playing it like crazy and finally test that darn EVH pickup!!!

Here are some photos. And please, keep those great suggestions coming! (I've never linked pics from Facebook. Please let me know if you can't see them):

I picked up my guitar today. I can't believe how much that EVH pickup ROCKS!!! It's so easy to pull harmonics now!!! ALL OF THEM! tapping, artificial... I was having so much hard time with my other half step down tuned guitar (It's a Jackson Kelley Performer... I'm not lovin' it that much now)

I can't stress enough how much that EVH pickup rocks!!!!!!! The sound is AMAZING!!!!
