Got bored, and had some JS style clone parts and some Rustoleum spray cans sitting around. This is the result, kind of a hybrid of Ed's guitars and an Ibanez JS:

The body is off a Chinese JS clone I got off Ebay several years ago. It was pretty rough when I got it, and required a lot of re shaping to make it look decent. The neck is made by Eden that started out with a paddle headstock. The finish has been sanded off and redone with oil. Pickups are GFS VEH units, which I havent really had a chance to test yet due to some setup issues I'm still working on. The spring cavity is too short on the body, so I cant get enough spring tension to tune the guitar correctly. I'm going to machine a new spring block for the trem out of brass. It will have holes for more than 3 springs unlike the current one, and will be longer so that the springs will have more leverage against the tension of the strings. One of the posts for the trem also needs to be plugged and re drilled about 1/16" further back, as the front of the trem is binding against the body. The locking nut height also needs to be lowered slightly. Other than that, it plays great LOL Laughing

Thanks for the compliments all! Very Happy Hopefully I can get all the setup issues worked out soon. I really want to run these VEH pickups to see how they sound.
