he actually had a gibson headstock on there, i got a huge pick of it and you can see the remains of the logo he tried to sand off somewhat...i'll see what i can do

It's a Fender neck with a Gibson decal.

<br><br>I think (could be wrong...) that Wayne actually started out making replacement parts for Fender guitars, so he would more than likely have done the large headstock neck. (If someone knows better please post it....) EVH Confused

Actually, that neck is not a fender or a wayne charvel neck.<br>It is a Boogie Bodies neck made by Lynn Ellsworth.  It was made from birdseye maple with a maple fingerboard and rosewood inlay dot markers with the brass side dots.  The gibson logo was merely a decal that ed put on it for laughs.

And Wayne Charvel taught Lynn Ellsworth how to build guitar bodies and necks...<br><br>And Wayne was out of the company by the time Charvel built Eddie's black and yellow guitar. Grover Jackson was running things, so EVH was actually playing a Charvel/Jackson....
